Sharon Shines!

Oh How Sharon Shines!

On a recent spring morning the Sharon PTA launched a brand new community based program called Sharon Shines.  Our students learned about different local non-profits in the community and, with the help of staff and volunteers, created a variety of practical items for donation to organizations such as the Robbinsville Senior Center, Rose Hill Assisted Living, and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.

If You See Something, Say Something!

On Tuesday evening, February 27, 2018, in light of the recent Parkland, Florida tragedy, Board President Rich Young issued a statement on security in our schools.  Please click here to access his remarks as well as a March 1, 2018 press release detailing an agreement between Robbinsville Township and the Board of Education calling for two additional full-time School Resource Officers to be assigned at Pond Road Middle School and Sharon Elementary School as a way to keep students and staff safe and enhance security.

2017 Teacher of the Year Sharon Martin

We congratulate Mrs. Sharon Martin, 2017 Teacher of the Year!

About Us

Sharon Elementary School fosters a culture for young learners that centers upon developing the whole child within a safe and caring environment. Students are challenged to become independent, lifelong learners, and responsible citizens.   The school community is committed to cultivating the confidence and resilience needed for students to thrive in our rapidly changing world.

Because we believe that how children learn is as important as what they learn, and that process and content go hand in hand, we begin each day with the Morning Meeting component of Responsive Classroom, a research-based approach to elementary education which demonstrates that a social curriculum is as fundamental to a child’s development as the academic. Read more.

Our School Promise

When we care about each other and our school,
we share what we have, listen carefully,
help each other learn, work hard,
and have fun together.

We understand that everyone makes mistakes,
that we stand up  for ourselves and others,
and when someone asks us to stop, we stop!

This is who we are, even when no one is watching!
